Greetings from Germany

Our last week before setting off to Denmark…

We have been very busy practicing these weeks. On 4th october we gave a Freestyle demonstrations in a senior citizen home. This is really the favorite Freestyle happening for Pinkki. After showing the routine she gets lots of hugs (and maybe a little something to eat too…) from the spectators.

Chic had to stay at home, because during our long walk in the woods she stepped in glass. Can’t understand why people throw their rubbish in the woods…
When we got home I saw drops of blood. First thought was “Oh no, she’s in season”… but she started licking her paw, and I saw a wound on one of her paws. Well, we just had a refresh-class for First Aid for dogs, so she had very soon a bandage on her paw.
So we missed a lot of practice time, but she’s a very good girl, so I know If I don’t mess up, she won’t mess up.

With Pinkki the practice is going very well too, the best practice was last Sunday at an agility competition. Well, she knows there the reward is the whole agility course. There’s no better reward for her…and Sunday she even made a clear round and third place!

In the last week I think I have been going through the routine about 10 thousand times (without the dogs!). This week we’ll do the last practice with the dogs on Tuesday, then Wednesday we’ll have a day off, we’ll pack our bags and in the night between Wednesday and Thursday we’ll take off to Denmark.

Pinkki has been to Denmark earlier with me, to participate at Jutlandia Cup and Dania Cup in Agility.

We are very happy and excited to be able to participate this event, it’s also so nice that our students and friends support us with boxes of chocolate, cards, emails etc.

A virtual a big hand for Emmy and all the others who make this event possible. I think this is a great opportunity to promote the sport!

Greetings from Germany,
Minna, Pinkki and Chic
